Helping a family member

I have been helping a family member through the virus - he does not have a washing machine and as launderettes are closed has no way of washing clothes. He lives very close by so I have been collecting and dropping off his washing as I go for my walks etc

He has just texted to say he has a chesty cough etc so he will have to completely isolate now.

What do I do about his washing though? I can still go and collect it, but what about protecting me from infection? Is it just too risky now?

Are you in the vulnerable health category?

I am probably not the best person to answer as I wouldn’t hesitate to carry on doing the washing, I suppose you could leave it in the laundry bag for a couple of days before putting it in your washing machine?
