Either furlough or universal credit messed up?

So I got furloughed through my agency and initially received a letter with the wrong name on it confirming this 🤔 I got paid a few weeks ago and expected my furlough money to be around £1200, but I received just £770. Someone who works for the company says this is because I started work mid-February so the 'average' is essentially my wage for March, but half my wage for Feb (this seems an unfair way of doing it, but maybe this is how they do it.)

However, I've logged onto my UC account and that says I'm entitled to £0, as my employer has told them my take home wage is £1,288.

I'm going to do some ringing around tomorrow, as I can't afford my rent on the furlough money I've received so far. I'm guessing there's been a cock-up somewhere and I'm very comfused...

Your UC money is based on last month's earnings (your March wage). It should be more next month if you're only getting £770 from work. I would query that figure though - it doesn't look right to me.

Ah OK.

£1,288 also wasn't my take home wage in March, so just not sure where they're plucking these figures from tbh. Also looks like I'll be starving through May as will have zero money to live on. Fun times.
