Furloughed and claiming UC

Yes it is. Put in a claim ASAP because it can't be backdated.

Yes, I read last week it’s fine to claim UC to top up furlough pay.

It is allowed but if you have a partner who is working its unlikely you will qualify. Theres a short online calculator you complete before you go through to application which tells you what you're entitled to.

Thank you. I'm asking for a friend, no partner and only an income of £500 ish per month now. Will tell her to look at the calculator.
