Law about being allowed to have a break from your home

I'm sure I read on here that there is a law/rule in the coronavirus guidance that says you are allowed a break from your home for a few days if needed. Is this the case or did I make it up? I was hoping to pass it on to a friend who needs to see it.

I think there's a rule about if you need to escape for domestic Violence.
