Im in London and checked the weather and it is forecast to be heavy rain and thunderstorms for at least a week....anyone else dreading this as i have 2 small kids (20 months and 5 months) and getting out for our walk everyday was keeping me and the 20 month old saner!
Since lockdown we have been blessed with lovely weather and i think people are going to struggle more.

Weather forecast will say DOOM DOOM WASH OUT. The reality it'll rain for a while and 2 thunder cracks and 1 lightening strike. Then the sun will pop out and dry it up.

The weather forecast for my area is less sunny after today but not uninterrupted rain. We could do with a good soaking tbh (not something one often says in Lancashire,) before we get drought added to our current trials and tribulations.

Look at the forecast each morning and plan accordingly. And as a wise man said (or maybe it was Billy Connolly) there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.

Though I'm aware that it may be hard for people with little kids if they've outgrown their winter waterproofs and wellies. It's not looking as though the wind will be too awful so brollies may help (good for enforcing distancing too).

I am glad. People will stay indoors and I can go for a run without having to people-dodge. The last time I went out for a run in the rain I met only two people (well two groups of people - one other runner, and a mum and toddler wrapped up in waterproofs and wellies).

@Eeyoresstickhouse I completely agree. I'm so fed up of people saying how difficult itll be if the weather turns. It's bloody difficult when it's glorious sunshine and you cant get outside. Not having a garden doesnt normally bother me as we have gorgeous parks near by. But this has been seriously tough.
Can't say I'll miss seeing the 20 odd pics a day of people posing with prosecco and beers in their gardens while I'm at work as normal.
Yes i am bitter!!

It didn’t look completely wet, apart from Tuesday, you should be able to get out in between.

We are shielding, so no walks out for us. The garden has been a godsend and I will miss these warm, dry days. We are going to get the awning out and I've ordered some sides to go on it so at least we can claw back some additional space when the rain kicks in.

To be honest I would welcome the rain. I hate the heat and find the sunshine makes lockdown worse...my flat is far too hot and I can't be out all day.

I was all hopeful when rain was forecast but sadly, it's only a couple of days and only one of those is heavy rain. The ground is dry and farmers need a week or so of rainy weather to help the crops, bring on the rain I say. There is nothing to stop you going out with your kids, just put rain macs on and take an umbrella, honestly they won't melt in a bit of wet!!

Wellies on the toddler, rain over on the pushchair for baby. You won’t dissolve. It’s only rain.

Personally, I'm looking forward to it, but purely because I've been drinking way too much! Confused

Lockdown boredom + sunny weather = Wine Gin

That said, I do genuinely feel sorry for those with little kids, climbing the walls.

On another positive note, at least those who have started to flout the lockdown rules, might be less likely to in bad weather, so as far as that's concerned, the bad weather has probably come at a good time.

You can still go out. The weather I hate is that freezing gale force winds plus rain weather but things are looking so dry it’s probably needed.

I hope it will rain, might keep the brats over the road from riding their bikes up and down the street all day!

I hope it rains all week. Its been a nightmare taking dogs out every day having to keep stopping and taking cover to get away from cyclists joggers and family groups with small children running about.
When it rains there's no one about except me and the dogs, the woods are lovely in the rain.
