Travelling within UK over summer

Will this be permitted? I know nobody knows but I hate having no idea.
We have a UK holiday booked at end of July which I’m assuming won’t go ahead.
However my family live about 4 hours drive from us down South, we’re in Yorkshire. I haven’t seen them in months anyway (even before lockdown) so I was hoping they might be able to travel here or we go there when the restrictions are lifted.
They’re desperate to see my DS, their grandson when things are eased, I’m just not sure how it’ll all work if family don’t live nearby.

At the moment that would be non essential travel. No one here can tell you when that will change.

I think - dependant on the numbers - that the government will try its absolute hardest to get back some of the UK tourist industry in the summer. If not hundreds of businesses will shut and it will take even longer to get back to normal. But I'm not sure how it would work in places like Cornwall where the hospitals wouldn't be able to cope with a huge influx of people.

We've booked a risk free break in Ludlow with our extended family third week of July. I really hope it will happen, but who knows. It will sound spoilt and first worldly of me, but I will be bitterly disappointed if that doesn't go ahead and I've been quite upbeat to date.

We have booked a UK Airbnb that we can cancel with full refund up to two weeks prior to arrival. That way we can hopefully go, but if not then get our money back.

I hope so, I’d like to go and see my mum in N Wales, I haven’t seen her for nearly a year now as we had to go to FIL’s funeral overseas at Christmas. Wales has slightly different rules though and I’m not sure we’ll be traveling around the country much in summer. Maybe we’ll be allowed to move around more nearer home.
