What will really happen with the economy?

Have read several scary reports about recessions and depressions.

I know it will be difficult to.predict, but I just want to know what to expect? We nearly lost our house in 2008 and now I am a lone parent I want to be prepared for what is going to happen next.

Do we have any expert opinions, like the scientists reporting about CV that I can read and cut through the scaremongering and speculation?

I think there economic downturn is inevitable. People will be unsure about it's magnitude, as people are still unsure of the magnitude of the pandemic. A recession would effect people very differently in economic terms. What you should do depends on your personal circumstances.
