Colleague has had symptoms, lots of symptoms, and it sounds like he has Covid-19 but has not been tested. He has had a couple of weeks off and is back now coughing and says he still feels tired and achy and like he can't breath. AIBU to be concerned that he might pass it on to myself and other colleagues

Some people have symptoms and recover in days, others take a month or longer. The official health advice is to self isolate for 14 days and / or until your fever is normal. The cough can continue for several weeks but supposedly not contagious at that point. Who knows. But as long as official wisdom is that after 14 days and no ever you’re fine, it’s going to be difficult for people to convince employers otherwise.

What’s your employer like? Any way you and other colleagues could convince them that Steve from Accounts still isn’t well and it would be better for him and everyone else if he could rest at home a bit longer?

My DM had suspected coronavirus. She isolated for 17 days and went back to work today. Her symptoms are gone but she's still very tired and fatigued.
