Hi everyone, I just wondered if any of you had bought facemasks you were pleased with? Want to stay as safe as possible - have already had c19 but have been told it may be caught again...and I'm in the vulnerable group.

Just looking for recommendations as it is a bit of a minefield. Links much appreciated.

Personally I would steer clear of Virustatic snoods - there have been lots of problems with them (see other threads on MN) and for 20 quid they are essentially a piece of stretchy tube bandage

We have to wear them at all times when out of our houses. They are to be the cloth ones as ppe is only for medical staff. Minimum of 2 layers, but mine are all 3 layers. They are easily available as many companies who can't trade but have access to machines / fabric are making and selling. We can get them made with company logos on etc. There are a lot of patterns to make at home. There is no problem finding them, but to find those that suit you and are comfy to wear all day (if need be) is the current challenge.

Someone on here yesterday mentioned some for sale on the Playmobil website - ours are arriving tomorrow, they’re £4.99 each, can be washed under the tap, and you can use a tissue as a filter.
