I've booked Majorca in early October...

What are the chances do you think? October seems like years away at the minute... would you go even if they allowed it by then?

No. There will be waves of suppression measures on and off til the vaccine is finished, tested and fully rolled out. We don't know when those waves might fall or the timing between them and October could well be another lockdown or at least restricted travel, bars and stuff not open when you get there etc etc and/or gone bust and things a bit ghost towny and grieving and shit. Unfriendly locals thinking you are bringing disease (not all but some). Social distancing will still be a thing and be awkward.

Yes I'm hopeful but not optimistic

I would love to - but am not confident Spain will properly reopen this year.

I’d be worried that you would be able to go but there would be such strict measures and lots of things closed that it wouldn’t be any fun

I have one friend in mainland Spain and on in northern Majorca, both have said they don't think either places will be open until August at the very very earliest and even then as said above it will be restricted
