Asthma and Covid-10

I'm overseas at the moment, we were supposed to be relocating to the UK in the summer but like everyone, life is up in the air at the moment.

We're in Africa and we are probably at the stage the UK was at the beginning of March; low levels of deaths at the moment but rising. People are being advised to stay at home where possible and everything is shut down from 6pm until 6am, all places of worship shut, no weddings, mass gatherings etc. I am reading lots of mixed advice about Covid-19 and asthma. Some saying that we should be extra careful but others saying that is not one of the main risk factors. I am interested to know if Mum's with asthmatic children are taken extra precautions or not? For example, if the schools opened soon, would you send them back to school? Or delay it?

Grrrr. Obviously the title should say Covid-19. Wish I could edit it.

I have serious asthma issues and my child will not be going back to school this academic year regardless of what the government does or doesn't do.

Having been hospitalised frequently I'm not taking any chances.

I wouldn't if possible, have any of your household leave the home and have groceries delivered etc...

I took my asthmatic children (have been hospitalised before) out of school before the schools closed based on the Asthma UK guide which said asthmatics should be socially distancing.

As an aside, I think you can report your own OP and ask for the title to be edited (I once had a thread I'd started in the wrong place moved after doing that)
