Thinking about what to get, if mask-wearing becomes compulsory in some public areas...

Have you found something handsome to wear? I'm thinking like a dark red with little yellow & blue flowers. Something to suit my matronlyness although I like garish pinks & purples & all sorts, really.

What takes your fancy (decide on looks alone, ignoring supposed protection level): this is meant to be purely for vanity.

Or maybe a cat face one....

I saw a lovely cocker spaniel design one on a Fb selling site but the price was £16 so I thought I'd give that a miss and stick with my current one that looks like a sanitary towel stuck to my face.

this has a certain je nais quois to it.

My aunt is making some pretty ones, now I recall. She's sending them out in exchange for donations to a charity she supports. Think I'll get one of hers if the masks become compulsory.

I have made one from some Frozen material I had. So it has Elsa and Anna on it. Ostensibly for DD but DH could wear it.
There are some easy tutorials on line for those who are into sewing.

Can we not just stick a buff on? How does a cloth mask differ?

YangShanPo · 16/04/2020 21:01

That Tiger king one, since I watched google box, has to be the best, surely? 🤢

ComtesseDeSpair · 16/04/2020 23:02

DP made mine. I wear it to the shops or out for a walk whilst also wearing a ball gown.

OMG @ComtesseDeSpair are you my ex-colleague? If not, you have a doppelganger.

Do they rub and get sore wrapped around your ears? I am thinking I would prefer tie around the back ones.

are These cloth masks effective? I think we will need to wear masks going forward but I won’t buy any until I know they work, I would love there to be a lot of designs available especially if children have to wear them too.

YangShanPo · 17/04/2020 11:45

I don't know how effective they are but the picture of Joe Exotic would make most people back away.
