Conspiracy theories- sister gone mad...?

So, I'm close to my sister- I love her to bits. Without her, I have no idea what my life would have been like - I owe her so much.
But she has started posting loads of videos etc about conspiracy theories ( mostly American in origin- she's not American).
It's just..bonkers. I watched a few of the videos, and I'm appalled she can believe this stuff.
She's a small business owner who lives in a small town. I'm just, perplexed she can believe it. I've suggested that she may want to think about what she posts as she could seriously damage her reputation.
We've agreed to draw a line under the
I love her, but the respect I have for her has taken a massive hit.
Has anyone else had experience with this?

Having a difference in opinion doesn’t make somebody “mad.”

My dad is a conspiracy theorist. He’s done em all - crop circles, chem trails, Bill Gates. He’s a very intelligent man but for some reason is just built with the conspiracy chip. I’m completely the opposite. We just don’t discuss it and get on fine. We know we will never agree so it’s just better to take it out of the equation. I still respect and love him (but also think he is wrong).

Do you know that the CIA coined the phrase "conspiracy theory" to describe any thinking that was different from the mainstream media's narrative? Governments lie, we all have proof of that.

well there is a lot of truth there if you know where to look. For one the virus came from a lab. That shows not only did China lie about its origin but that they covered it up. Now they are tracking everyone on mobile phone apps that the other parts of the world are considering using. Its not that far fetched.

Operation Paperclip, MKUltra and operation Mockingbird are some examples (that we know about) in which the government conspired. So this really happens!

@Fallen do you know the actual theory of it?

Rosebud79 · 26/04/2020 15:11

@FallenMadonnawiththeBadBoobies it is not that ridiculous if you look it up. Elizabeth 1st apparently died in childhood.
