Is it possible I could be on the vulnerable list without realising?

I'm asthmatic but not on the medications indicated on the vulnerable list - am on lower dosage. Also have two children with significant additional needs - one on High rate PIP. Would we automatically be added to the list? I'm in the priority Ocado 7 day slot group and have been able to get slots most weeks - aware of how fortunate this makes me. Haven't had a letter or anything and didn't apply through the government site though so just wondering really.

I think probably not. The people on the Government list are as follows:

Solid organ transplant recipients

People with specific cancers
People with cancer who are undergoing active chemotherapy or radical radiotherapy for lung cancer
People with cancers of the blood or bone marrow such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma who are at any stage of treatment

People having immunotherapy or other continuing antibody treatments for cancer
People having other targeted cancer treatments which can affect the immune system, such as protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors.
People who have had bone marrow or stem cell transplants in the last 6 months, or who are still taking immunosuppression drugs.
People with severe respiratory conditions including all cystic fibrosis, severe asthma and severe COPD
People with rare diseases and inborn errors of metabolism that significantly increase the risk of infections (such as SCID, homozygous sickle cell) People on immunosuppression therapies sufficient to significantly increase risk of infection

People who are pregnant with significant congenital heart disease

No. I doubt it.
I have an ASD/ADHD child oh HR who is not on the list. And a shielded husband who is extremely vulnerable -also HR- and we are still not on supermarket lists- despite several government letters/hospital letters.
I think you may just be lucky.

Imboredinthehouse · 15/04/2020 23:03

We are -seemingly-unlucky!

You had to fill in the online form (url address on the letter) to be on the database that was shared.

Did you see this update from Asthma UK? My asthma was well controlled but I’ve been really bad recently and based on this I’m now into the shielding group because I’m currently classed as ‘unstable’ (confirmed by my occupational health department in a hospital).

Is it possible I could be on the vulnerable list without realising?

Thanks for replies Smile

I suppose that applies to me now too @FaithInfinity as I am on symbicort. My asthma is well controlled too but tends to flare up a bit during hay fever season.

Think I must just be very lucky with regards to the delivery slots then or maybe it's where I live?

Do you take continuous or frequent oral steroids?
