Looking at our local Facebook group, a few weeks ago when coronavirus was spreading and talk was of staying at home (before lockdown), people were coming together with offers to help others with shopping, and other errands. But I've noticed, just a few weeks later, it's full of arguments. People are turning into petty spiteful keyboard warriors and their attitude is very much "fuck you, I'm alright and I don't care about you".
Maybe it's just where we live, but it's demoralising and depressing. When lockdown lifts, we've got to try and rebuild our lives, and it will be hard.
I've had to step away from Facebook - it's all too nasty at the moment (and Twitter is depressing). Don't know why I'm bothering to post this either, as there will be nastiness here too. Oh well
