My mum's carer had Covid-19

Just found out my mum's carer , one of them, has recently recovered from c-19. Confirmed by bloods. She said it was horrendous but she isolated for a further 14 days and was symptom free 72 hours before returning to work.

Please reassure me it's ok?

Anyone? Common sense tells me it's fine. She had isolated fora further 14 days post diagnosis but I'm freaking out

Yes, it’s fine. Was she caring for your mum before she got sick? Your mum may have been lucky enough to be one of the people who have it without symptoms.

Yes it’s fine. She sounds very sensible - my relative’s carers keep pushing up their masks to talk to them which is so annoying.

It's fine; so glad your mum had a lucky escape and also that her carer was so sensible about following the guidelines.

Is the carer from an agency? If so, they would never allow her back to work if they suspected a risk. Totally understand your anxiety though, I’d be the same. I’m sure the carer is fine and she sounds sensible.

She is very sensible and yes it's an agency. I know its ok but it's so scary.

I had suspected c-19 about 3 weeks ago but after talking to the carer I am not sure. It sounds bloody horrendous and she looked exhausted poor girl

Chipotle - that interesting but i don't think this carer had seen my mum since mum came out of hospital. Mum is immuno compromised has copd so i think she got it shed be in big trouble, but if she was asymptomatic that raises some interesting questions.

I totally understand your fears, my 92 year old grandfather's main carer has it right now and was at his house when she began feeling unwell with it. I think it's been about a week and she's not improving any yet. My grandfather is so far ok and I hope it continues that way, the carer is extremely careful with hygiene, masks, gloves etc and she can't work out where she got it.
