Why aren't the Blue Peter presenters social distancing?

Just watching Saturday morning Blue Peter and the presenters are far too close to each other. I initially thought it might have been recorded before everyone had to stay at home but apart from one or two VTs every other comment is about staying active at home or things to do to keep you occupied.

They really should be following guidelines in a programme for children.

I just had it on and something popped up about it being filmed before current guidelines.

It will very likely have been filmed a few weeks ago when we were aware of the need to distance but weren't under lockdown.

Oh I missed that. Was there really a point in time when children were at home but presenters were still allowed to sit next to each other?

All the TV programmes, newspapers, blogs and even threads on sites like Mumsnet will be fascinating historical records of what life was like during the Corona pandemic for future researchers.
