The official number of Covid cases in the U.K. is just over 60,000.

Over 2 million people are currently reporting their health status daily via an app from a research team at Imperial College. And by extrapolating their data, they estimate the number with symptomatic Covid (who would have been positive if tested) across the whole of the UK was 1.4 million on 5th April.

But that’s good news, because 4 days previously it was 1.9 million.

Oh, thanks for this! I have the app. It's great to see the lockdown measures are having an effect. Fingers crossed there aren't too many who use the Easter weekend as an excuse to ignore the rules 🙄
