What are you doing to make Easter special 'at home'?

I'm trying to find ideas on how to make the Easter weekend feel special this year when we are all at home and have been for so long already.

What plans are you making for your family?

We're thinking of camping in the garden Saturday night, then doing an Easter egg hunt on the Sunday. Maybe some games and a nice lunch? Me and dh are both still workig and haven't had a full weekend off together for a month.

Nothing. Eggs and books for the kids. Roast lamb. Might try an egg hunt.

Egg hunt, roast lamb, Easter craft stuff to do over the next couple of days. Will watch a virtual church service on Sunday. Video call family.

So pretty much the same as usual without the family get together.

We were given a free Easter egg hunt by our supermarket on our shop yesterday so will be doing an egg hunt.

Might try decorating some eggs or make some shapes out of clay and decorate those instead

Have bought ingredients for full roast dinner and trimmings

Watch some Disney plus too probably

Ordered a fresh cream tea to be delivered. From a local business who normally makes wedding cakes.

I'm doing the usual give some colouring books & pencils, eggs and making Sunday lunch, I have an idea for a create your own dessert that will keep them occupied for a while

We're doing an easter egg hunt in the house / garden too.

Easter egg hunt (already bought some little individual Easter chocolates) & DH bought an Easter egg for DD in the weekly shop yesterday. A friend's DCs have made Easter pictures for their window so we might do that.

Would normally see both sets of parents so we'll do video calls instead.

We're having Zoom drinks at noon on Easter Sunday with my family and I'll make a nice Easter lunch. I've got Easter eggs for the DC. Apart from that ... lockdown as usual!

Easter egg hunt in the garden, will try and buy stuff for a roast lunch and then rent the new trolls film from Sky Store and have a “cinema “ experience with popcorn etc

Zoom mass, egg hunt afterwards, might decorate some hard blown egg and bake a cake and then contemplating take away - I'm not sure how I feel about that yet though. It is also my birthday, there will be fizz involved.

Egg hunt

18 year old DD is working every day and DH on Monday, so it's mainly just us. I bought Easter eggs way before lockdown so we're sorted there. The rest of the time (other than a couple of practical jobs) we're enjoying exercise either fast or hill walking (on our doorstep) or cycling, having nice meals and some wine outside, I have a book I want to finish, maybe play a game even if it's just DH and myself. I keep meaning to start a jigsaw, but once I start I know I won't stop.

My two DC decorated Easter biscuits this morning.

Easter crafts and making a mini egg cheesecake tomorrow, ready for Sunday.

Sunday will be indoor & outdoor Easter egg hunts, roast lamb and probably watch Hop or (original) Swallows and Amazons.
