When does staturtory sick pay start for IVF pregnancy?

Work have advised I claim SSP currently, and to claim from 'day 1',. Someone suggested this is when the embryo was put back in- is this correct? I've been isolating weeks prior to this when I started injections though. Can anyone clarify?

Well I suppose you're not in an at risk group technically until the implantation, so I can see the logic of doing it from that date.

You are considered pregnant in terms of employment rights from embryo transfer up until 2 weeks after you discover transfer was unsuccessful.
