I'm so scared. Paramedics came out last night because she couldn't breathe. Wanted to admit her but she refused to go.

They've told her to take pain killers and call back if she needs to.

They said they can't test her but she ticks all the boxes.

She mid 50s but poor health. High BP amongst other things. She's on a lot of medication. Maybe a dozen pills for various things.

Im so scared.

I want to go see her. I know I shouldn't and I won't but what if I never see her again? I cnat even remember the last time I saw her properly

Aware she is on the meds I mean

Also sorry to keep posting but make sure she doesn't tske any ibuprofen as that type of painkiller may worsen things.

OP - if paramedics wanted to take her to hospital then she needs to go. She could just be on standard oxygen or a CPAP machine in hospital to help her through this. If she leaves it longer she might need to be ventilated (or might die).

Unless she is ready to die, you need to make her understand that she needs to go into hospital to stand a fighting chance of beating this.
Do not let her die through fear.

Have you seen the burning lungs threads? Some of those people have had the most horrendous time of their illnesses. They are so ill and some are very scared and 111 have told them they aren't ill enough for hospital. If your mum is then she really needs to get help now.
