Nice little part time job (full time work was massively overrated anyway) that is not too office based, small house with a kitchen at the back opening out onto a sloping garden where I have an outdoor swinging seat and grow shrubs. Hobbies include freelance writing, teaching pilates, swimming in the sea, cooking, couple of cats.

Where do I need to move for this? Anyone have this fantasy life? I can swop for a flat with a balcony (south facing no less), low maintenance (possibly dead) plants and pposite a supermarket if thats a deal clincher 😂

Nb I am grateful to have a roof, just pontificating that there is no running away from this limbo.

My fantasy life involves the aggresive neighbour upstairs dying very suddenly and a nice new neighbour moving in

Small stone house, just under the Spanish fortress on Hvar. View down over the Adriatic. Stone floors, wood burner stove... terraced garden with an orange tree. Earning my living by freelance sales training. I dream it every day.

Can I recommend that in your fantasy life it’s a warm summer for 3/4 of the year @SleepyTiger39 ?

Otherwise the whole swimming in the sea part is going to be hard work. I‘m lucky enough to be able to go for a sea swim whenever I’d like and the cold sea is so not fun! (Also sometimes seaweed touches you.)

To leave this house and the person it belongs to, and go back to my peaceful single life.

You can have freelance writing in your real life! Now’s a great time to start if you haven’t already.

I think I’d like one of those rock swimming pools that naturally fill up with sea water.

Not hearing 'Mummy' every 2 minutes.

Wouldn't change the actual children for the world, but having a break occasionally from that word would be heaven.
