Center parcs Europe refund refusal

Does anyone else have a booking with a center parcs in Europe ie a non-UK site?

They will not refund the amount we have paid for a holiday next week, only offering a voucher and then holiday needs to be rebooked within 12 months. Obviously I would rather have the money back but they are refusing. Any advice please?

We are having a nightmare trying to get a voucher/refund issued from CP via the contactariane.com website. At end July (when UK was no longer rated as an incidence of concern area just a high incidence area by Germany) we were due to fly to Germany to see my brother and family who we haven't seen in 2 years. We had a week booked at their Allgau site. My eldest (who is 13) was turned away at the airport due to incomprehensible German travel restrictions, which permitted the rest of us to fly (me and husband both double jabbed, other child aged 9). So we had to change plans on the spot at the airport. I cancelled CP thinking the insurance policy I took out with them would cover us. The adviser guided me that a positive covid case would cover us under the insurance. Of course when I started the insurance claim, you need medical evidence of a positive case including a stamped form from a GP, which we don't have/can't get. So I went back to CP to say let's have a voucher instead and they said no. That's £3k I am battling to either get refunded/reissued as a voucher.
Contactariane.com webpage does not appear to be working, page does not submit. Expensive call to Holland unable to help. No responses to support emails. Disastrous.
Anyone else caught out by this?

@vivster sorry I’m confused by your post. Did you have a positive covid test? If not then on grounds are you asking for a refund or voucher? If you were allowed to travel and you got the travel restrictions wrong then not sure sure why they would refund?
