I'm sorry if this has been covered but I've not seen anything....where the hell is Chris Whitty? Is he ok? Do we know anything about his condition?

After obsessively watching everything for weeks I've forced myself to take a break for my own sanity. Did a quick google search there and couldn't see anything. I really hope he's ok.

I also wondered this. I suspect he may be ill with corona and not have it made public. I don’t think he’d shirk away from his role due to trolls. I’d hazard a guess he’s much more intelligent and resilient than that.

However he dipped out when he got corona, so it would be a safe bet to say that’s what’s behind this.

I hope he’s ok.

He's been absolutely brilliant in a very demanding role. He's just an ordinary-looking bloke focussed on his job. I doubt that he has time to read what stupid and shallow idiots are saying about his looks, and I'm sure that even if he did he wouldn't give a flying fuck. Go Chris!

I liked him, Patrick and Boris together doing the speech. I hope we get to see the three of them together again. Chris Whitty was very reassuring; calm, intelligent and eloquent. Hopefully he is doing ok and we'll see him again soon.

Chris Whitty is one of the nicest people working in health. I hope we see him again in public.

I hope he is making a good recovery behind the scenes.
Like Boris he may well have suffered from viral load and is taking a while to recover.

I’m worried because he hasn’t been mentioned in days and blokey last night said he was sad at losing a couple of people he admired. I’m worried they’re coving things up 😢

I think it was only a week ago when it was announced he was self-isolating because of symptoms. Maybe he’s just a private person. Hope that’s all it is. He seems like a lovely man. I never saw anything negative about his looks but don’t really understand why there would be. He’s just an average-looking guy.

I was wondering if he got the nasty form of the virus. I would be very surprised if someone that high up cares about what some idiots think about his appearance.

Why are people trying to manufacture a conspiracy theory out of this? I honestly don’t get the obsession on here with this bloke. Have we really become so entitled to know everything about everyone that even their personal medical situations have to be made public? He’s well know to be a “very private person” per his Wiki page, so if you all think so much of him then you should respect his wishes for privacy.

People's attitudes during this pandemic have made me hideously cynical. People have been awful. I've deactivated most of my social media.

He is a very private man. He doesn’t want to be in front of the camera at all. I think he is quietly recovering at home. He certainly won’t want his health broadcast.

A member of my family works directly with him and said he is incredibly private. I didn’t realise they knew him so well. Ditto Matt Hancock. I am sure I saw Chris on the PM
Zoom meeting screen last week.

I too was wondering how he is as we haven't heard anything about him since he went into self isolation. I thought he was very Impressive and obviously hugely intelligent. I do hope he is doing ok. Appreciate he is a private person but cannot help but be concerned for his health.

How can you not have seen any of these?

My uncle and aunt knew his parents in Africa and apparently he was a young boy and went to their house!

He’s gone back to work today. Phew. I feel like we are in safer hands a bit.
