Successful Tesco delivery slot

Ok, so who here has successfully booked a slot with Tesco’s home delivery?

I’m pregnant and also have to shield but have miserably failed all of last week in securing a slot.
I had brief luck on Tuesday last week but then stupidly went back to choose another slot time and somehow both slots had gone.
Set alarm and tried again at 23.55 all week and I get put in the queue but when so I eventually get through all slots are gone.
I was in the queue from 23.50 to 00.15 last night but no slots when I got through. Randomly checked at 00.35 and found several fixed saver slots available @ £5.50 which is expensive but I thought sod it and pressed to book a slot, but the page was stuck for 5 mins with no confirmation of the slot so I refreshed - lo and behold - all slots gone.

Can anyone share theirs tips please? Getting desperate now. Thank you

Use Microsoft edge as your browser. That may help. I know it helps when Asda is down.

Did you use the app? I found I had no luck with the website but downloaded the app, registered etc and waited until 11.59 to start refreshing.

The queue starts at 11:50pm so you have to login then and keep the page open letting it refresh automatically.

I got a slot at 1.30am today for 25th April via the app. I just opened the app clicked on book a slot went to very last day available and they were all there.

If you're on the shielding list, you should get a priority slot from the government

I find the slots tend to just appear a few days in advance maybe once they have filled it with the vulnerable. I am able at the moment to book a slot on about Weds/Thurs for the following Mon/tues. I am not able to book anything in two/three weeks time.

This is Sainsbury and Tesco. Maybe it depends on area?

They are also using bags and just leaving on doorstep which is making it very efficient.

The slots are released at midnight. I think click and collect is easier to book than deliveries.

When a slot's booked the shopper has 2 hours to put things in their basket and pay. If they don't complete that the slot becomes available again for someone else at 2am. You might find 2am a quieter time. Have stuff ready in your basket to complete your booking without needing to be online too long at that time.

I’ve read a few days ago on MN that slots are released at midnight so on Saturday evening logged in and filled the basket, logged in again in 23.45, was put in the queue, got through about 12.25, quickly took the first available slot (£6) for 24th of April and checked out. I’m really grateful to someone who started the thread about Tesco slots. I was registered with them but did delivery only once ages ago as we used to live near Sainsbury’s.

The midnight thing does work, but as tesco and other supermarkets add more drivers slots will appear at other times too.

A few nights ago I had app and website open as had failed multiple times to get out of the queue before all slots were booked.
Got through quicker on website but it said no slots available but when I got through on the app there were some available. I also went on before the queue started, was kicked out but think I was higher up the queue than my many previous trys. We're shielding and am very worried that some weeks we may not get slots. Taking it one week at a time and hoping that the system is sorted so that shielded customers can get a weekly slot assigned to them.

I used my phone to book for my parents. Had already filled my basket and was lucky enough to click a slot on time. But then I went back to amend my order before check out and it put me in a que for 40min! I was worried by the time I got to complete the order my slot would be gone. But luckily not. Why it put me in a que after I'd secured a slot though feck knows.

Look at Midnight.
However, availability and number of slots really depends on where you live. There is no point in telling you my Tesco has slots if you live 200 mile's away.

Trying to book one for myself in asda now but it's far more hassle as they dont have a set time to add slots :/

Keep looking throughout the day as Tesco release some at random times. I was trying throughout the day on Friday until I got one mid afternoon for delivery on Tuesday (and there were several slots to choose from).

@Wanderlust21 I got an asda slot last week at 10am for the next day and my Friend messaged to tell me there were some today at 10am too. So I am starting to think that’s their main slot release time.

I dunno, pretty sure it updated between 8 and 11 this evening too allhairnopants. Becsuse I checked it several times today fter 3pm and then tonight there was suddenly another day but already filled. Think they randomise the times.

I'm in the same position, also pregnant and have tried all supermarket sites and several times throughout the day/night and getting absolutely nothing Sad
