Is this ok for me to do?

My parents live 30 minutes away, they’ve not needed any shopping yet but are obviously now running low. DH will do a big shop for them tomorrow before work then I’ll drive to their house and leave it in their porch.

I’ll have to take DS with me. There’s a big green opposite their house. If I take our dog too can I walk him on the green on lead before we drive home?

Yes, it's okay. It's common sense. You're not doing any additional journeys. You'll stay away from others. We have to stay sane.

I think it's OK. It's helping vulnerable people which you are allowed to do. And combining that with your daily exercise. It's not as though you are driving to exercise or doing an additional trip.

Divebar Thankyou and thanks for all the work you’re doing.

I’ve never actually seen a police officer anywhere near my parents street in 42 years and I spent 25 of those living there 😄 i can’t remember a single crime ever being committed! I think they’ve got better things to do than make sure Dave from number 6 is staying 2 metres away from Maureen from number 8. I’ll take my chances.

@inwood

@TemoraryUsernameit's driving to exercise which isn't allowed!

No, it's driving to care for vulnerable elderly which is allowed, and also exercising, which is also allowed.

PotholeParadise · 05/04/2020 18:44

That Dave at number 6 is no better than he should be.

Saz12 · 05/04/2020 19:14

Sounds fine to me.

Though that Dave sounds dodgy as anything!

Circletime27 · 05/04/2020 20:13

Dodgy Dave they call him 😄

🤔 Someone told me that Matt Hancock said on Question Time last week that it was ok to drive somewhere to exercise, did anyone see that?
