Is there now no hope for antibody tests?

I’ve seen a few headlines now saying that the tests we were told were coming, turned out to be useless and didn’t work. The official press conferences have stopped mentioning them so I wondered if anyone had seen any sources either way? Are these still a hope for near future? Or are they now just something that was dangled at us as being ‘almost ready’ and the apparent answer to lockdown... but now are just being given up on

As an aside, Is it possible, in theory, that you could develop the infection (antigen positive) but not develop antibodies (test negative)?

I noticed this, it has disappeared from the headlines so obviously another lie like the herd immunity lie.
