Car has a flat tyre - what can I do?

Just looked out the window and noticed its completely flat. I need it to get to work on Monday morning (NHS). There is only a temporary repair kit in the boot which would get me as far as a garage. My question is are the car mechanic/tyre repair people still open during lockdown?

pretty sure there are car mechanics working

Quite a few garages are open.

Mechanics still work do you have rac? Or?

Eireni · 04/04/2020 18:11

Think you need to ask the individual garage/mechanic/tyre shop. They can be open but some have had shut due to illness/staffing issues etc. The garage by me is opening for a few hours a day for specifically pre-booked appts for urgent repairs only for example.

I've seen a local mobile one locally, so might be worth searching around. If not, do you have a neighbour/nearby friend who you could drop the key off to for them to change it.

This was me last week. Got a mobile tyre fitter to change and replace

I don't have any RAC or anything. There is a really good tyre place very close to where I work and I looked it up. It said it was open Monday morning but then said further down hours may have changed due to current circumstances so wasn't sure if that meant it had shut completely. If all else fails maybe kwik fit will be open

ATS have a mobile tyre fitting service which is fully operational - good luck
