Where to buy children's clothes??

Sorry for the stupid question, but does anyone know where you could buy clothes for a 4 year old in a hurry?

DS seems to have had a growth spurt and grown out of practically everything he has! My DC are going to stay with their grandparents tomorrow (for legitimate reasons, I promise) and he needs clothes to take....! No time to order online.

Do any M&S have essential bits of clothing for sale alongside food, etc.?

Or big supermarkets, like Sainsbury?

Anyone who could give me some helpful hints, I'd be sooo grateful! Flowers

Big Sainsbury's will have plenty.

LoisLittsLover · 04/04/2020 16:43

Supermarket - I like Morrisons and sainsburys. M&S are.nice but can be pricey.

DarkDarkNight · 04/04/2020 16:44

I would say supermarkets would be th best bet when you’re shopping anyway. I haven’t been to a big store with clothing though and don’t know if the clothing is still accessible.

I really need pyjamas for my Son, he’s growing like a weed. I stupidly bought short pyjamas for Summer weeks ago and had long pyjamas sitting in my Next basket for next time I ordered. I wish I’d got them now.

Any big supermarket stillhave clothes sections in action. ASDA, Tescos, Sainsburys, Morrisons.

MARMITEcheese2020 · 04/04/2020 16:47

M and s have shut off the clothing in our one. I was told by my friend who works there.

Supermarkets will

Jourdain11 · 04/04/2020 16:51

Thank you! It's going to be Sainsbury's in that case. And the section definitely won't be taped off, as far as anyone has experienced?

(Sorry to be demanding.... just don't want to send DH on a wild goose chase!!)

Sainsburys clothes section still open.

Or why not order from H&M online just get it sent to your parents?

Jourdain11 · 04/04/2020 17:00

@Floobydoodoo that's a good idea, actually - thanks!

I bought from TU earlier. Next day delivery (well it'll be Monday now). This was because M&S seemed to have loads of stuff out of stock

PeppaisaBitch · 04/04/2020 17:11

Our local has clothes available. You can also order before to collect.

Jourdain11 · 04/04/2020 17:21

I think DH is going to Sainsbury's to grab an emergency pair of trousers and sweater and we'll order some more online.

I swear, he's had a massive growth spurt in the last week! Either that or the poor child has been going around in too-small clothes for weeks and I haven't noticed....

H&M are really reasonable and if you sign up to their club it's free delivery. Plus 20% right now.

I'm hoping I dont need to buy any clothes at all for the kids. I bought my dd about five outfits in primark before the lockdown for our holiday to Majorca 😭😭😭😭😭 so I'm presuming that will do her on a lockdown summer.

My boys have each others hand me downs to survive on thankfully. But if they didnt it would be Sainsburys or H&M

Poetryinaction · 04/04/2020 17:31

I went to poundland today.

angieloumc · 04/04/2020 17:36

Yes M&S are cordoned off in my city but if you wanted you could buy online.
My DIL is buying my DGS's clothes from her local ASDA atm, he's 12 weeks so obviously growing.

Jourdain11 · 04/04/2020 17:38

DS has two older sisters so unfortunately their hand-me-downs are useless! Wink
