This is the name of the poor boy who died on his own and will have no family to attend his funeral.

My heart goes out to his family and I don't want him to be just another statistic.
I don't know him or his family, but it's heartbreaking to imagine their pain.
I want people who have lost dear ones to know that others are thinking of them, and sympathise.
Sending my heartfelt sympathy to all the parents who have lost a child.

If you know somebody or want to add to this, please do, so they don't go unheard of or forgotten.

May you RIP Ismail Thanks

@PickleASturgeon delete that stupid link. The picture of the boy who died of CV has not been released. That picture is not of him.

Gosh people have no level of critical thinking and believe anything on the internet.

5yr old reported to have died from CV in the U.K. today. Sad

breakingdownnow · 04/04/2020 16:50

RIP xx

5yr old reported to have died from CV in the U.K. today

It is unbearably sad but also reported as having other health conditions, as so many people's anxiety levels are increased I think it's right to report the full picture.

ManchesterChidless · 04/04/2020 17:21

He was probably sedated so wasn’t awake?

Yes it’s awful. I may come across poorly but at least this virus is generally only killing older people and those with health issues. If it was killing children at a greater rate I would be so upset. Probably get banned now.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 04/04/2020 17:30

@PickleASturgeon if you read a bit more of that Twitter link, you'll see the type of specimens who post on it. Not exactly a reliable source of information.

Legoandloldolls · 04/04/2020 17:32

Poor kid. Many tears have been shed for him.and his poor family. I feel for his poor mum.

I don’t think this is thread for it though.

I have heard of the poor 5 year old today, but was waiting to post so we remember their names, instead of them being a child of a certain age. he will have a name.
Of course my heart goes out to his family may he RIP, poor lamb. Thanks

Reported PickleASturgeon's post. Some people are either as thick as mince or setting out to purposely spread fake news

lalafafa · 04/04/2020 19:16

he was put into an induced coma and died 2 days later, not that that makes it any easier. his go fund me page has raised far more than the £4000 requested for funeral costs, hopefully helps the family.

ilovemydogandmrobama2 · 04/04/2020 19:27

@noobble - I don't know, but would suggest that a Muslim mother would be able to attend the funeral of her son. My understanding is that women and men may be apart in the Mosque, but cannot believe that Islam would forbid a mother to be apart...

CaryStoppins · 04/04/2020 19:33

Why is it better if the 5 year old who died had underlying health conditions?

I really can't get my head around the argument that it's worrying or upsetting if healthy children die but if the child is already ill or disabled then it doesn't matter so much Confused
Same as all the people repeating "but it's mostly old or vulnerable people dying" as if it's not so important then.

Mlou32 · 04/04/2020 19:38

Poor lad. Rest in peace.

AgentCooper · 04/04/2020 19:59

God, I wish their poor mothers had never had to lose their little ones. My heart is just hurting for them.

WTFsMyUserName · 04/04/2020 20:06

Rest in Peace Ismail Thanks

This poor family has been in my thoughts for days. The world can be so cruel.

For the posters wondering about Muslim burials: women would not be present for the burial outside but would have had time with their loved one/s at home or at the mosque for a final goodbye before the burial 😔

JackJackIncredible · 04/04/2020 20:06

@ManchesterChidless

” I may come across poorly but at least this virus is generally only killing older people and those with health issues.”

Just to make you aware, many of those who died of CV with health issues were not terminally ill and would have otherwise lived many more years. I hope nobody you love has severe asthma, is undergoing cancer treatment or had an organ transplant. Apparently we are all expendable to you!

Devlesko · 04/04/2020 20:42

Please can we keep to the condolences so that if somebody points this out to parents who have lost loved ones it may ome as some small comfort, from Mnetters who after all support parents.

If you know other names please post as they all have a name Sad
