I've 5 kids, 4 late teens, youngest nearly 13, who is severely disabled.
Our schools have informed us that they are going to teach online. We've been doing it through email etc but we'll now be doing it where the kids log in and it's all done live.
Currently with my youngest, we log in and do up to two hours live depending on their attention. As her school is for the severely disabled, most of the work is singing, dancing, stories, etc it's all very loud and lively which she loves.
So now I'll have 4 others going online at the same time. I've worked it out that 3 can take a bedroom each and one the living room while I'm in the kitchen with dd. There's no way with the level of noise from dd that we could do the same room.
But I'm wondering if our slow speed of internet 14 can handle this ? Our area can't get above 18. Does anyone find with more logging in the same time problematic?
Would this work putting them in bedrooms ? They've no desks ?
The kids have phones and 1 has an iPad, would the kids be able to do the classes on their phones ? I've been using my laptop for dd so wouldn't be able to lend it to one of the others.
Sorry for all the questions but would be interested in hearing from anyone currently doing this and how it's working out.
