Sister in laws dad has it

My sister in laws dad collapsed yesterday morning, took Ito hospital and has confirmed corona virus with pneumonia, he is in hospital and will stay there for at-least a week,
He is 70 and had cancer around 2 years ago but got the all clear after treatment, no other health issues,
I'm worried and feel sad for my brother, sister in law and his wife,
What's the chances of this being fatal if he has the pneumonia with it? 😩

None of us know, sorry.
Even as a doctor there is not enough clinical information to go on. Better to have an honest conversation with the hospital staff to ask what the prognosis is
