Based in NE UK.

Scheduled or emergency C-Sections, does anyone know if your birthing partner can still accompany you whilst in theatre?

In normal (non pandemic) times, and if procedure is with epidural then yes.

If it's a crash section under a GA, then no, though you can (usually) wait just outside and meet baby asap and remain with baby.

A family member in the SE has been told they still can.

Atm yes. I am having a planned c section on 22nd. Have been told DH can drop me/ bag off and then can come to theatre. Also warned things may change and he might not be allowed at all by then.

Update: had my little boy via EMCS and partner was allowed with me ❤️ he had to leave once I was transferred from recovery to the post natal ward.
Gave birth on Friday 4:05am and was discharged 3pm Saturday x
