Has anyone’s little ones has suspected covid-19? If so could you tell me what it was like.

I will never know for sure but back in Jan or Feb both DC were extremely poorly (one week after another) Like nothing I’ve ever experienced before as a parent and my son is nearly 10. To start with the only symptoms were an extremely high fever and being very lethargic. It followed the same pattern for both of them and the fever lasted 5 days then went. At the time covid-19 was never considered. Although it was about it wasn’t deemed a risk unless you’d travelled to China or came into contact with someone who had. They had no cough during the fever but a few days after the fever stopped they both had bad coughs where they both coughed constantly so both had quite a lot of time off school.

I am hearing about people believing they could have experienced covid back in January time and funnily enough at the time my children were poorly there were a lot of children and teachers off with similar problems

I guess it was just a virus and I’ll never know but it has made me wonder.

But then surely myself or oh would have caught it if it was in fact covid?

We've had suspected. Ds 4 had a fever for 7 days straight, cold, conjunctivitis very lethargic. Scary. Dd not so bad. Me and dh fever, cold and dh cough and lethargic aches. Dr. Did conference call with ds and said coronavirus but he had no cough or anything

Yes I think so.

High temp up and down for about 10 days now, random aches and pains, touching / picking up hurts, cough that was dry but has now turned productive. VERY grumpy!

We seem to have turned a corner today, no Calpol and no up and down temp for the first time.

Should say DH has had it too.

Hope you’re all feeling better @piixxiiee!

Hope you’re all on the mend soon @Fairybatman. The thing is both my children had these high fevers but they both have additional needs and cannot tell me where it hurts so they might have had aches and pains. I guess secretly I’m just hoping that maybe they did have it back in Feb but I doubt it was! The symptoms do seem very fitting though!

I've had quite bad symptoms for the past 10 days. My GP says it's coronavirus.
My 4 year old became ill at the same time.
He never had a temperature, just a bad cough, rosy cheeks, lethargic and breathing heavily. It only lasted 5 days for him.
