Has anyone in your household had it? Did everyone catch it?

DH almost certainly has COVID19. Two DSes have mild symptoms.
All three are staying in their rooms. My other DS and DD seem fine so far. I don’t know if I have mild symptoms or hypochondria!
Has anyone had a member of their household with COVID19 and not got infected? How likely is this? Or are we just playing a waiting game?
(Day 5 for DH, day 4 for the boys)

How do people know without testing. Look at how many get tested in hospital (so must have similar symptoms) compared to how many test positive. There are other illnesses available.

I have symptoms and am off work for the 7 days, though after the first couple where I was in bed I feel in rudely good health, if a little jaded. I'm not at all convinced I've got it TBH but better safe than sorry.
Our house is small and we haven't been able to distance ourselves so I expect DH and DS will also get whatever I've got (and I would have been infectious prior to showing symptoms anyway)
Only time will tell I suppose.

Me and DH got it. Kids did not. Probably more likely that the children were just asymptomatic though

@esjee I understand it’s hard to tell. But when a normally healthy adult has a persistent (though not excessive) cough, full body aches, breathless on standing, upset stomach, occasional temperature spikes and dropping oxygen sats (and it feels nothing like flu!) it’s a reasonable guess given we’re mid pandemic.

I had mild but classic symptoms a few weeks ago ( I think I picked it up in The Alps). DD appears to have caught it from me ( she wasn't really unwell but had a sore throat and an irritating cough). DH might have caught it, he felt groggy for a few days, but was pretty much symptomatic if he did have it. DS has had a drippy nose but is well, so again he might have had it mildly or not caught it at all. I guess we won't know until we get antibody tests though.

We think DP has had it and possibly our three children but not me.

DP had what he thought was a virus for a couple of days at the beginning of March, he felt awful, aches, shivering, couldn't get warm, couldn't sleep, he thought he'd also got sinusitis because his nose and eyes hurt and then lost his sense of taste and smell for about 3 weeks. At the time we didn't think it was Covid-19 because he didn't have the cough which in late Feb/early March they said was the first sign along with a high temp.

We have three children under four and all three then had high temps, two had temps of 40, one had a temp of almost 41 and Calpol was only bringing it down for 3 and a half hours then it was spiking again. This went on for 2-3 days with each of them.

I had what I thought was a cold, runny nose, sore throat, aches and a headache but that was it.

Oh I had an upset stomach and cramps for a day too! Almost forgot that.
