Elderly person in isolation - what could help them?

Hi,

A family member is elderly and on their own. They have been in self isolation for a month now and said they are really struggling mentally. Friends and family call them every day but obviously that can only help so much. They are normally very sociable.

Can anyone think of anything we could order online and send to them that would help them through this time?

They aren’t struggling for food etc we are taking it in turns to drop food off.

Following as I'm the same, my mum with multiple health issues has been told she's in for at least the next twelve weeks. I'm worried about her mental health 😬

Same here, she’s not complaining as such, but her cleaner isn’t going either, and she can’t do it herself, so I’m worried now she’s going to attempt things she shouldn’t be doing. We’re phoning regularly, and I’m dropping shopping off.

Not sure how they are with technology but what about audio books on CD? If they have internet access then FaceTime or similar.
As I have to shop for my Dad I also spend time chatting to him through an open window.
Pictures drawn by children if any or an actual letter?
Are they crafty or interested in jigsaws (if you can get them).
