Recovery from Covid and a glass of wine...

My only remaining symptoms are a tight chest and fatigue, and it's been weeks since I had a glass of wine.

Anyone had any alcohol while recovering? Could my immune system handle just a small glass?

Definitely, I'm not sure if I've had it or normal flu but had a glass of wine after a few days of feeling "well" Wine

Sorry I just re-read your message and you're not really feeling well yet, I'd wait until feeling better.

Covid can get better then much worse again. I would avoid alcohol until symptom free.

When I had pneumonia, the first glass of wine about three weeks after recovery - ooh dear. My body was not ready for alcohol.

If you really want to, you could try but I’d give it a while. I was already on a phased return to work when I had mine and I felt awful and really regretted it.

Give it a few weeks Brew

OP I know it’s boring, but your body has a lot to process at the moment so it probably won’t cope with alcohol too.

Take care Flowers

Oppsss...week 3 for me and I had my first glass of red wine tonight. Chest still tight and still exhausted but it felt like being a bit closer to normal. Will let you know tomorrow if it was a mistake!

AutumnRose1 · 01/04/2020 21:31

Wheres I felt awful within an hour so hopefully you’re all good!

Thanks Autumn, yes feeling fine. Still crap but not worse than before dinner. Won’t do it again for a few days as wouldn’t push my luck.
