Apologies if this type of thread has been done before / done before multiple times.

If you think you have already had C19, was one of your symptoms nausea / vomiting / diarrhea and lack of appetite?
Its not the kind of thing listed as a symptom on most of the websites but I have had this on and off (plus on and off what feels like the chills - although I cannot tell whether that is just because it is cold in the UK today).

Has anyone else experienced the above since around January time and now in retrospect thinks they might have had it?
thank you

DS1 has those symptoms; 10 days later DS2 was coughing with a high temperature and DH and I were coughing. I do wonder if DS1 had CV and passed it onto the rest of us; with DH and I getting it very mildly and DS2 being worse.

WiltedDaffs · 01/04/2020 17:19

*DS1 had those symptoms...

Menora · 01/04/2020 17:19

I had starting 2 weeks ago

Upset stomach
Lack of appetite
Weird taste in mouth
Chills but No fever
Sudden onset of a Chest infection. It clearly was - rattles and crackles, worsening of asthma
Now I have a cough which is sometimes wet, sometimes dry

But no idea if C19

Spacecadetagain · 01/04/2020 17:21

I’ve been ill for two weeks. Paramedics attended me on Monday night and said going on my symptoms I almost certainly had CV as They were seeing the same symptoms being reported and two if their crew had gone off sick with the same symptoms as me . I’ve had diarrhoea. Nausea and been off my food plus list my sense of smell and taste as well as a host of other symptoms

Bubblebu · 01/04/2020 17:24

Thank you so much for your replies

I've got as follow:

Upset stomach YES
Lack of appetite YES 100%
Weird taste in mouth NOT THAT I HAVE NOTICED PARTICULARLY YET
Chills but No fever YES
Sudden onset of a Chest infection. It clearly was - rattles and crackles, worsening of asthma NOT REALLY - JUST A VERY OCCASIONAL DRY COUGH HERE
Now I have a cough which is sometimes wet, sometimes dry YES

--------
I have not yet had a loss of taste and smell (yet)

On a general note do you think the weather is cold today? I really do not trust my own ability to know these things myself.

I had a temperature, fatigue, brain fog, loss of appitite, body aches, diarrhea, a cough and felt like I couldn't take a full breath but not breathless and no wheeze. The cough came a couple of days on to the illness probably about 3.

I was seen by a doctor and he said flu, but this was about a week before the shit started to really hit the fan. Who knows. If I had it now everybody would say covid-19.

alittleprivacy · 01/04/2020 17:27

I'm on day 15 of a lower respiratory tract illness causing me ongoing breathing difficulties and shortness of breath. For the first 5 days or so, I had no appetite at all, however I could eat so I made myself get in the habit of eating because it was time to eat. I also had diarrhoea around day 3/4.

My appetite still isn't quite normal but then again under normal circumstance I'm extremely active and I've done fuck all for over 2 weeks now.

Mustbetimeforachange · 01/04/2020 17:27

It is cold today. Bear in mind that even of all the people they have tested in hospital so far because they thought they had CV, a relatively small percentage do, presumably demonstrating that a lot of other viruses may have similar symptoms.

Menora · 01/04/2020 17:27

I am asthmatic and do usually get a chest infection every winter but this was mid March so unusual for me. It also wasn’t at all typical compared to other years where generally I have had an obvious cold or sore throat for a week, which gradually moves down to my lungs. I literally woke up one morning and I had a lung infection

HarrietThePi · 01/04/2020 17:30

No idea if it's Corona or not but I've had nausea, lack of appetite, stomach cramps, chest pains, a cough but really not a bad one, sometimes it's dry and sometimes it's chesty. The worst/hardest thing to deal with has been the fatigue.

Menora · 01/04/2020 17:31

I keep saying chest infection as I don’t know what else to call it. I was given antibiotics but I am not sure how much they helped. Couldn’t breathe, low peak flow, very breathless, very congested and now coughing up phlegm

Bubblebu · 01/04/2020 17:31

Yes true about other viruses having similar symptoms.

I am worried about my lack of appetite because I really should be eating (post chemotherapy) but as I am just lying in bed all day and getting no exercise I am really struggling to make myself eat. I can hear my tummy rumble but putting anything in my mouth immediately makes me feel nausea - even just a chocolate from a box of chocolates I have just eaten made me feel a bit like gagging.

Menora · 01/04/2020 17:32

Yeah I still feel sick when I eat now and I am 2 weeks in to it
The fatigue is unreal

Susanna85 · 01/04/2020 17:38

OP my mother has it. Her symptoms are the same as you listed, plus she has lost all smell and almost all taste.

Bubblebu · 01/04/2020 17:40

Yes to fatigue.

Trouble is, before I started chemotherapy I had a flu jab and then when I was in hospital on 27 Feb they did an ordinary flu swap on me (cotton bud thing up nose, it was gross) and they said I did not have the flu. Although the doctor did say there are many strains of the flu.

And then a lot of the side effects of chemo do read exactly like the symptoms being described anyway so it is all very confusing and horrible not knowing.

I think ive still got my sense of smell (might test that one) and I still have taste I just really don't want to eat etc

OP posts:
Menora · 01/04/2020 17:45

I didn’t lose my sense of taste or smell

I forgot one symptom - bloody headaches. Every single day for over a week

Bubblebu · 01/04/2020 17:45

and a crushing feeling of weakness/ fatigue and some aches in my legs (not my back), but no chest pains that I have noticed....

OP posts:
UncomfortableBadger · 01/04/2020 17:45

OP, I had the exact same symptoms as you (but with vomiting, chest pain and rib pain thrown into the mix too) and I’m 6 days in - I had contact with a confirmed CV case so my assumptions is that I do have it.

Menora · 01/04/2020 17:45

Try and eat something small and often not large meals x

Bubblebu · 01/04/2020 17:46

no headaches here (I had a fairly mild one a few weeks ago)

OP posts:
Bubblebu · 01/04/2020 17:47

thanks Menora I will try. I forced myself to eat egg on toast last night but my tummy has felt very dodgy today. I might try to make myself some more toast in a bit. x

Tummy ache
Sore eyes
Temperature
A cough that won't quit
Sore lungs
Tired
Loss of appetite
Loss of taste
Chills and hot sweats
Itchy eyes
I'm three days in from the cough, but I had the sore eyes and tummy ache the week before.

QuarantinaTurner · 01/04/2020 17:54

I’ve had a cracking headache, aching limbs and diarrhoea for the last two days. No fever but have felt extremely cold so I’ve cranked the heating up. I’m absolutely exhausted and have lost my appetite. Not sure if this is corona or some sort of bug but I’m feeling pretty bad.

I hope everyone on this thread who is feeling poorly gets better soon Flowers

Menora · 01/04/2020 17:56

I did find I had all the more minor symptoms in week 1, then hit week 2 and it was like being hit by a bus
