So now that we are on the lockdown,I am only going shops when I really need to go.I have been doing my best to keep my distance too from people. My question is how likely is it to catch this virus whilst shopping?I mean would someone infected sneeze or cough near you for you to get it?Or touch something that you touch?

Pretty likely if you dont follow the hand hygiene, non face touching guidance. Touching baskets/trolleys, money, checkouts etc and transferring the virus that way.

It's also looking as though theres fecal-oral transmission but I'm guessing lots of people won't identify gastro symptoms with covid-19 so more like to go out while infectious and spread the virus, and it looks like they will be infectious and shedding the virus for longer.

Hand hygiene is key.
