But drove/ferry, and now all the ferries are cancelled? You can fly home and leave your car and belongings there. Unlikely to be able to drive to the channel tunnel due to distance, stops, hotels etc.

Staying in own property, so that isn't an issue.

Sounds like you’d be best off staying where you are.

My in-laws are currently in this situation. Can’t fly home as they’d have to leave their caravan, pets and belongings, with no idea when they could go back for them or where they could safely leave them in the mean time. They’ve opted to stay over there.
