Universal Credit and Furlough, do I say I'm working?

My company are claiming furlough so I'll be getting 80% of my pay. Should I say on the UC form that I'm not working because technically I'm not?

You are in employment and that's your income, so yes.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/03/2020 12:09

Will you be entitled to UC if you're getting 80% of your pay?

I think technically you are getting the income, put furloughed in the box, dont lie

No I don't think so, you are a paid employee not unemployed. Has the 20% cut taken you below threshold? If so I would imagine you'll have to wait to see how much you will actually get. Also you can be unfurloughed with 24 hours notice I believe.

Yes you are employed and will be receiving wages. Uc will be notified of that through HMRC.

@Waxonwaxoff0 I'm not sure, I was advised by my employer to claim for it?
