Not sure if this is the correct place to post or legal matters but anyway...
I am in maternity leave and I’m due back in August. Given the current situation with coronavirus my partner has the option to work through as he also works in manufacturing of essential items but there’s also the risk of him contracting something as being out and working in a factory around other people.
My job I would be classed as a key worker as I work for a company that supplies the food manufacturers with parts and I am able to work from home.
I have just text my boss to ask if I would be able to come back early and she said she will check and get back to me.
Is there anyway they could refuse my early return? Especially in light of the current situation?
I’m not HR savvy so I’m unsure and not sure if I have not considered any other factors .
Thanks
