Apart from takeaways? I just don’t see how they can. Almost all pay rent, utility bills, have loan repayments, supplier payments and rental payments for equipment etc. They were the first to shut and probably will be last to re-open. Even the bigger companies can’t possibly survive it can they? And small independent cafes- awful! This sector is responsible for a lot of UK tax payments.
Surely they will all go bust? I’m sure many other industries will too. It’s going to be devastating in terms of job losses.
