What can I do to get help

I am struggling to find support/ help with my online shopping. I am a vulnerable person as I have a spinal injury cannot drive or walk more than a few meters unaided. I need assistance carrying and lifting even small items and I also have a poor immune system and cannot risk even catching a cold. I cannot register on the Gov. site as I don’t have any of the problems listed and I cannot register with Sainsbury’s as I am not over 70. I live alone and have no family to help me. My mental health team and GP agree that I am in an extremely vulnerable position but cannot find any solutions to my predicament. The GP said she would contact me if she found any help but hasn’t. There aren’t any volunteer groups that I can find for my area. I guess I am one of the people who fall through the cracks.

Phone adult social care. They should ask have teams set up for this situation

Where do you live? Mumsnet is a massive community, maybe someone here could help.

Have you tried your local Facebook groups? A lot of them are setting up ad hoc help

@pocketem my MH social worker did, there is a backlog of people being assessed

Are you on FB? A lot of local community groups have set up there. Our local one is now working alongside the council. Do you have a local community action group? They are up and running around here pre-corona. Other thing you could try is contacting your local church, all our local churches are doing lots to help.
