Paid for flights with paypal : am I protected?

Just that really. Was supposed to be going to Turkey very early July, paid for flights via paypal. As that is looking virtually impossible now, will PayPal refund me? I resigned myself to losing the money but a friend who works in travel industry said I should be protected by PayPal and they will refund me. Is there any truth in this? I haven't heard anything from the airline get (KLM).

You generally would be covered if the service isn't available. We really don't know what restrictions will be in place in July. It's possible travel etc will be ok then.

Thanks Bilbo. I would love to get away, it's been a very tough year and I was really looking forward to it. It's a bonus that should the flights be cancelled I can get the money back.
