I've just received 'the phone call' and have been furloughed.

I'm starting to wonder what I'll do with all the time. Can you give me your ideas for keeping occupied whilst in the house?!

Im working through a cross stitch. You can order the full kits (all materials and instructions) from sites like Etsy.

Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube.

Cook - batch cook if you have ingredients/freezer space.

Flip mattresses/hang duvets and pillows out on sunny days to air.

I am waiting to find out if I have been furloughed or on the skeleton staff.

If furloughed I plan to

Sort out all the clothes drawers and get rid of any clothes we dont wear

Spring clean the kitchen

Put the racks up in the spare room (turning it into a closet) that I have had for 4 weeks.

Spend sometime actually cooking rather than throwing things together.

Learning how to play fortnite with ds

Ds schooling

Make some agility equipment for the puppy.

How much if this list I actually do, is very very questionable

Apart from cleaning/ washing etc I've been doing online exercise groups on zoom .
My usual group has changed to a online and it's been a godsend.
I don't normally feel like it but when I've done it I feel great . You forget about everything for those 30-60 minutes and you still work hard .
I'm aching this afternoon after yesterday.
I plan on doing 1 every day and I really look forward to the next one. It keeps me mentally and physically fit .

I've tried this zoom thing but I can't seem to work it!!

How do I get into the exercise groups?

Do some volunteering! Pick up prescriptions for your neighbours etc.? Around here most of the volunteers seem to be juggling childcare and working from home

Zoom works by you or someone email or text you a link that you all click on so can see each other .
You can set up a zoom meeting with 1+ as many as you want I believe.
The classes are usually run by various groups like the one Im on is usually at the local park but obviously not now this online has been set up . I believe various gyms have done similar.
There are many workouts on u tube like Joe wicks so you don't need zoom for that .

Thanks, have been googling volunteering around me this afternoon.

There's an animal sanctuary about 3 doors down that are still desperate for people to help. I actually may look into that.
