Claiming childcare elements of tax credits

Asking for a friend.
Normally receives and pays £1000 a month for childcare. Is furlonged. Does she claim and pay childcare as usual does anyone know ?

I spoke to them and they advised me to put my childcare costs on my claim to 0 for now and can amend it back once nursery reopens
