Toddler driving me insane!

Anyone else being driven crazy by their children? My little boy is 20 months & I love him obviously but I am not cut out to be at home with him 24/7. I normally work in an office 3 days a week and he goes to nursery x 2 and gps x 1.
Now myself and my husband are both working from home (which we are lucky to be able to do) and my son is also home every day (been self isolating since the 18th as he had a temp - nothing since then though, probably teething).
I miss going to the office, I miss alone time, I miss not being screamed at!
To be fair my husband is amazing and we parent 50/50 (as it should be!) but I think we are all going insane.
Just wondered how everyone else with toddlers are getting along?
(By the way I always had so much respect for sahp but even more so now!).

I've enjoyed reading this thread, if only to feel solidarity with other women struggling as well. I am on mat leave (thank god) so not having to WFH, but without a garden and DD's friends and playgroups im finding it so hard.
Yes to whoever said toddlers are like dogs - need a good run at least once a day. Bit worried about her social/emotional development if this lockdown goes on for ages. The baby is Teething and just learnt to crawl, so wakes a lot in the night. I feel like a woman on the edge

@Readysetcake I am literally pouring a wine as soon as it hits 5pm everyday!

I've been drinking every single night for the last two weeks! It keeps me going at the moment.

@Gemzee @HoneyBee03 glad it’s not just me! Can totally see how people get addicted. I’m having to be strong willed!
I find it mad that the things I love so fiercely can drive me to insanity.

I feel so much for all families of young children without a garden. Young kids are definitely like dogs and need open space. I think my MH would suffer even more if I was confined to a flat. Hoping this ends quickly just for those poor families around the world !

I have a 2yo ds and my god it's hard. I used to go out all day every day. The first few days were quite nice staying at home but christ the novelty has well and truly worn off now for both of us. I'm having to juggle work and entertaining him. He's fed up, whinging constantly despite me trying to do loads of fun activities with him. I just don't know how I'm going to cope with this for possibly months. It's quite overwhelming to even think about.

I too start eyeing up the clock around 4pm wondering if it's too early for the first glass of wine.. I don't want to be like this but honestly it's the thing getting me through the day at the moment!!!

@Kittykat93 yep yep, same! To be honest we need to cope however we can. I NEED wine at the moment, it's getting me through!

Oh Christ - that went on a while didn’t it Grin

I’ve gone mad back and forth so many times. So many dark days, so many tears. Life is just about tolerable now. Mine went from just under 1 to 2 and it was not a good time at all.

Gin helps. GinGrin

Well, to be fair I never tested this but I often, often felt it would.
