Sainsburys priority for vulnerable people?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has had any joy getting a delivery slot with Sainsbury's if they are in the 1.5 million vulnerable category? I've been a long time Tesco delivery pass holder so feel a bit guilty switching however we can't get a slot with them. My husband is in the vulnerable category and registered with the government on Saturday, but when I try to get a slot with Sainsbury's they're not recognising him as vulnerable. Presumably there is a lead time with Sainsbury's getting their data from the government?

Sorry if this has already been asked but I haven't seen a thread on it elsewhere.

I posted a thread before about it as I got a random text and I’m not 100% sure who it is for, I think it’s my son but without a letter I can’t be sure and don’t want to sign up without confirmation

The text: NHS Coronavirus Service: We have identified that you're someone at risk of severe illness if you catch Coronavirus. Please remain at home for a minimum of 12 weeks. Home is the safest place for you. Staying in helps you stay well and that will help the NHS too. You can open a window but do not leave your home, and stay 3 steps away from others indoors. Wash your hands more often, for at least 20 seconds.

That was a week ago and we have had no follow up letter .

PP who was a previous Tesco customer, I don’t think youll be able to use the Sainsbury’s service. It is for people who are both vulnerable/elderly and existing Sainsbury’s customers. They ask for a nectar card number or online shopping number to register with them.

@chipotleblessing if you mean me, we are customers of both and have nectar cards. We have just favoured Tesco more recently.

The way Sainsbury's have dealt with this has been an absolute farce. Those that really need the slots (and were told they would get them) can't and they have pissed off their long standing customers with their aggressive updates
