Just wanted to do a quick poll. Have you had coronavirus?

We've had it. I was the worst - fever for 9 days and still have a cough. DH and DD just had a mild cough. We're self employed essential workers so decided to have a private test done which was positive.

So who else has had it? Or think they've had it?

I'd be interested to know estimated numbers.

No I haven't - unless it was asymptomatic, which I understand it can be. Remember the stats will also be skewed by people who had it so mildly they don't think they've had it.

Can this be set up as an actual poll? With vote?

Yes I believe I have had it. as has my husband, kids and mum

UterusesBeforeDuderuses · 30/03/2020 09:29

DH had it we suspect and I have it now I think, but no test so not 100%. By looking at our symptoms I would say it is, but not very severe

Giganticshark · 30/03/2020 09:30

A quick Google comes up with private testing. Got a spare 400 quid?

fluffdeloop · 30/03/2020 09:34

they're £149 on blue horizons.

Yes I think I had it last week. Quite mild though in my case. Feeling rotten on the Tuesday night, went to bed early. Stayed in bed the weds with chest pains, slight cough, wheezing, headache, body aches. Was feeling 'ok' by the Thursday but I still feel a bit like I've got a heavy cold. It did change yesterday to a bit more of a phlegmy/rattle cough but in my throat rather than chest. Hubby also got symptoms on the weds and has had similar symptoms but he was prob more poorly than I was.

OP... ig you don't mind me asking, how was the test? I'm nhs staff and have been isolating as daughter had symptoms last week. We've been offered testing and I'm happy to go so that I can get back to work but I'm worried the test will upset her (dd is 5)

My DH has had it

Test was tricky due to gag reflex. We didn't swab DD - only DH and I.

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently thinking I'll take the test and decline for dd as her symptoms have pretty much resolved.
If the antibody tests were being rolled out I'd have been happy for her to have that.

LaneBoy · 30/03/2020 10:36

I think we have. DD got symptoms first, then DS, then me - progressively worse in that order. Thought it was tonsillitis at first and then it went crazy. The only thing that makes me hesitant to “self diagnose” is the fact my cough hasn’t been that awful. The kids are still coughing more often though.

DH has had a sore throat, fatigue, cough, but hasn’t been stopped in his tracks by it like the rest of us.

I hate not knowing. Whatever this was, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, it’s been awful and to be honest I am more nervous that it wasn’t - because I feel pretty weak from this, and I’m scared of getting even more unwell!
